I am a wife, a friend, a student of cultures, a language enthusiast, and a communication coach. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Since then I’ve lived in Illinois, Spain, China, and Arizona. I now enjoy the small town life in Albany, Wisconsin with my husband Jim and my adorable puppy Roxy.
Remember that scene in Men in Black when Will Smith realized that there was an entire galaxy in the microcosms of a marble? That shocking realization happened to me when I read “Invitations to Love” by Laura Ahearn. The book changed my life. I realized that every word in every language is like that marble. An entire world with a history and a set of cultural beliefs exists within every word.
My goal is to introduce these microcosmic worlds to you so that you can use that knowledge to break down the communication barriers that keep people at odds. Together we can break the communication barrier.
